Colectivos in Central America

   30 Minutes Listen

Salomé · Rory · Ana Sofia
Relationship Building Team

This week we are launching our first podcast. Origin Compass is a look at coffee from the origin side. In this episode, Caravela’s Relationship Building team will be talking about colectivos in Central America, what these community projects are and what issues in the industry led to their creation.

We will be looking at factors that have shaped the mentality of Central American coffee producers and therefore their interaction with the industry and the way this has developed over the years. We will be understanding more about some of the macro and micro issues of being a small-holder farmer and how colectivos might contribute a solution to these.
