One family, a coffee farm located in a marginalized community and one passion: coffee, this is what makes up Finca La Julia. Finca La Julia hides within the mountains of the western range in the Colombian Andes. It is located in the municipality of Trujillo, Valle del Cauca and is currently managed by the second generation of the Ocampo Family. The farm is owned by two young brothers that believe in the potential of the agricultural industry in Colombia and are committed to being the next generation of specialty coffee producers, working towards the rural development of the country.

Finca La Julia is a beautiful place, where the biodiversity and the environment are protected, and people love to visit and stay for the weekend. Nicolás Ocampo remembers when he was in high school, his friends would travel to the farm to relax for the weekend. Today, the coffee farm has a hotel where people can stay and enjoy nature, learn a little about coffee, and experience the life of a coffee farmer. In 2006, Finca La Julia received its Rainforest Certification for being a coffee business that demonstrates responsibility and commitment towards the sustainability of the planet. They have implemented reforestation projects and have taken measures to actively protect water sources on the farm. In the long term, Nicolas and his brother want to improve, not only in the quality of their coffee, but also the social and environmental impact that they have.
